I’ve noticed a lot of web 2.0 companies putting themselves up for sale on Ebay recently. So I decided to try to offer an unbiased valuation of these companies. What qualifies me for this? Really nothing. I make an attempt at writing a blog for young entrepreneurs at Ideawhip.com. I’ve started a handful of relatively unsuccessful companies, but hopefully one of these days it will work out. In real life I’m a financial analyst for Verizon and have done some “freelance” valuations for PE firms in the telecom sector. My educational background is a BS in Finance and Info Systems and an MBA in Finance and Marketing. So basically I’m going to be making up some random numbers and then thinking of whether or not someone should buy the company on auction. Oh…and I’m looking for a new job in PE/VC or possibly at a start up…not that I don’t like my current job…but I don’t like my current job. Please feel free to contact me. mike@web20auction.com
